The collaboration will come in terms of expansion of knowledge and know how in the production of cash crops such as rice, cassava and maize. The Governor said his administration would soon send a delegation to Thailand to see to the terms of the collaboration.
The governor said the agricultural revolution programme of his administration would also serve to stem the tide of Nigerian youths ending up in Thailand prison’s for drug related offences.
On his part, the visiting ambassador assured the governor and the people of the state that the Thailand Business Community would support the government in its developmental schemes, especially in the agriculture sector. He said Thailand will be willing to provide skills and technical assistance to the state in diverse agricultural activities.“Nigeria has enough rainfall to grow any crop and restore agriculture as the primary foreign exchange earner,” he said.
